About Me

Olympic Track & Field TrialsThe day was December 11th, 2013 and it would change my life forever. My father was gone, taken in a tragic car accident.  He was my friend, mentor, running coach, and so much more.  Now several months later, ironically on a run, I decided to start this blog, “Love for Laces.” There are a few purposes behind it: first, to inspire and encourage other runners.  Second, to continue my dad’s memory and legacy.  And finally, to help anyone that may be grieving from the loss of a loved one.

Running was always in my blood, it just took me longer to figure it out.  As I didn’t really make it apart of my life until after college.  I started signing up for races and eventually a marathon in 2009, in order to keep my competitive edge and stay in shape.  Running is just one area of my life where my father inspired me.  Through Love for Laces, I will extend my father’s legacy by sharing his and my love for running.

Every great idea, leader or product had to start somewhere.  This is my somewhere.

Love for Laces Founder and forever a Daddy’s Girl,
